donations

i’ve taken the 10% pledge.
i recommend donating to giving what we can,
effektiv spenden, or give well.
I donate to effektiv spenden because it’s tax deductible for me.
before I took the pledge i donated a variable % of my income monthly and individual small donations.
saving one life is estimated to cost between $3,000 and $5,500.
I proudly say that I have probably saved one human life with my donations.

other places that probably make sense to donate to are: EA, 80k Hours, miri but tetraspace has a blurb about why donor lotteries are good and i encourage you to donate to them.

in the future i will track all the charitable donations i will do below (i will not backtrack through my donation history because it’s too much work):
