hi I’m hill, I pull the lever in the trolley problem and I cooperate in the prisoner’s dilemma, I don’t negotiate with terrorists and I don’t respond to blackmail.
sometimes I try to solve the wrong problems using the wrong methods based on a wrong model of the world derived from poor thinking and unfortunately all of my mistakes fail to cancel out, until I say “ooops” and update my world model, improve my methods and try to figure out what problems actually need solving, then and only then have i learned and improved
like any good truthseeker i try to nourish whatever is nourished by the truth and i try to destroy whatever is destroyed by the truth
